This article will explain the setup of Holding accounts used in the General Ledger and/or Creditor Voucher Management.
2. Filling out the blanks Code Type in a Code e.g. B for Bank. You can then choose your holding account in the general ledger by writing B.
Description The description will also appear in the General Ledger alongside the code. If the description is Bank it will look like: B – Bank
Finance account In this column you must specify the finance account you wish to use e.g. you 2059 – Bank ‘
Reconcile This will allow you to use the holding account in the reconciliation module.
Active To make the holding account active, tick the box in this column.
Bank statement no. Fill in your bank statement number here.
Bank registration number Fill in your bank registration number here.
Bank account number Fill in your bank account number here.
Swift / BIC Fill in Swift / BIC here
IBAN Fill in IBAN here
Use in voucher management If you wish to use the holding account in creditor voucher management as well, please tick this box.
VAT code Specify your holding account’s AR/AP VAT code here.
Reporting group Set your holding account’s reporting group here e.g. External or Internal
Journal Type Choose which voucher sequence the holding account should use.
Currency Choose the default currency of the holding account
